INNOVATION | Networking in the ‘Girls’ Lounge’

I have to admit when I first read the title of NY Times article, Networking in the ‘Girls’ Lounge’,  I was a bit taken aback.

With so much conversation around persistent pay gaps, the necessity for women to “Lean In,” and the lack of female representation on corporate boards, I wasn't quite sure how a Girls Lounge fit the current landscape.

However, nothing convinces better than great data...

  • Supporters across academia and the corporate sector (Wharton, McKinsey)
  • Presence at 10 major events in 2016, including WEF in Davos and SXSW

“I’ve always been told to hold back my feminine characteristics, that there’s no room for that in the boardroom,” Ms. Zalis said.  “I totally disagree. A woman who tries to be a man is a waste of a woman.”

So congrats to Shelley Zalis, Girls' Lounge founder...because when it comes to the advancement of corporate women, she is unabashedly delighted to "pour on the pink."
